What is Zinc Plating
Strong corrosion defense is of the utmost importance when it comes to working and building with metal parts. The best first line of defense against metal degradation is zinc plating due to its innate ability to fight against erosion and rust. Zinc plating is the process of electroplating a metal surface with a thin layer of zinc. This coating creates a barrier that prevents rust, corrosive elements, and moisture from reaching the underlying metal and compromising the metal’s integrity. Once the electroplating process is complete, the thin layer of zinc is fully bonded to the surface of the metal making it one singular unit.
Here at Craft Coating, we offer different types of zinc electroplating each with its own distinct appearance, zinc thickness, and advantages. Though the end result may look different in color when comparing our Clear, Yellow, and Black Trivalent, the protection is similar across the board.
